The Rock

The Rock is literally a giant rock at the top of a mountain in Iringa. It is the best view you can get of the entire town. Within the past few months, there has been a ton of crime there. We have heard from many people not to go, because you will be attacked. We met a guy who lives near the rock, and he said that he often has people who come to his house crying and bleeding because they have been attacked.

We were not going to go, but Gasaya offered to get a group of locals to go with us. He got three Massai Tribe members to take Jake, Eric, him and myself. Masai Tribal men must all dress like this, and they chase and kill lions with just the knife on their belt. We felt very safe with them. They showed us their different walks. They must walk a certain way if they are serious. They also have another walk they do if they see an attractive Masaii lady. It was awesome to see!

It was right after school, so I wasn't prepared again. Oh,well! The view was incredible. I had now idea the town was as big as it is. It was an incredible experience.
