Last Day

Saturday, June 29th

We arrived back in Stone Town this morning. Early tomorrow morning Aga, Kim, Eric and Jemshed are all going home, so we spent most of the day shopping for souvineers and finding a working ATM and getting their ferry tickets. 

Tonight was the opening ceremonies of ZIFF- Zanzibar International Film Festival. We went, and the opening speeches dragged on. When you see Jake, ask him to do an impression. There were a few good performers, but the speeches and recognizing each sponsor was awful. We left to go to the garden for a snack, and Aga and I discovered this place. 

 It was delicious. Then, we went back in and the film had started. It was luckily in English, and about terrorism attacks on America. It kept us interested. 

 

Then, we had to say some awful goodbyes. We made some amazing friends and it was so hard to say goodbye. We will miss them! However, I know we will see them again :)
